Mandy: Hypersonic content-management
Mandy is content-management system with a long and bumpy history. Initially written six years ago in Rust to be independent from existing solutions like Jekyll, Hugo or Eleventy, the initial version used Markdown as a system to manage content and JSON as the language for configuration of assets and routes. This version was 2000 lines of code. This year Mandy was rewritten from scratch to use a fully-custom parser for a new data language of my own design and a new markup language of my own design. This version is under 700 lines and is roughly 30 times faster. This site, in fact, was built with Mandy. The project's site and documentation can be viewed here.
